Additional Evidence Against Bashir

International Criminal Court Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo has submitted to judges more than 700 pages of additional documentation in the case against Sudanese president Omar Al-Bashir. Such documentation contained over 200 eye-witness statements.

Charges were filed against Al-Bashir by the ICC in July – alleging genocide, crimes against humanity, and murder.

The Sudanese government has deemed the need for additional documentation as proof that “Ocampo’s evidence is weak and fabricated and that Al-Bashir is innocent”.
