April 12, 2017 – Moby, Gene Baur, Allison Argo & The Last Pig at Soka PAC
Hi everyone,
Wednesday, April 12, 7:00pm, Soka Performing Arts Center Critical Conversations presents: Vegan Meat-Up — A Safe Space for the Curious Carnivore. Living Ubuntu is thrilled to be a partner. This event will open with a musical performance by Moby, then, for the onstage conversation, he will be joined by Farm Sanctuary’s founder, Gene Baur, Emmy-winning filmmaker, Allison Argo, and moderator Jaime Nack. Allison’s most recent film, The Last Pig, will screen afterward. Watch the film trailer here.
The idea for this event came after reading the many articles and blog posts written by former pig farmer, Bob Comis. His poignant story and deep honesty gripped me and I found myself eagerly awaiting the 2017 film premiere. I envisioned an event in the Soka PAC much like what is to occur on April 12. My first conversation about the idea was almost a year ago now, and so much of this event has felt as if it magically just came together. I am genuinely extremely excited that this event did indeed come to fruition, and finally, it is almost here.
I want to personally invite you to please join me — get tickets here.
April has lots to offer — see the full calendar of upcoming events below.
