Resolving Trauma is a Necessity — Early registration ends tomorrow, March 31
Hi everyone,
One of the great things about teaching is that it reminds you of what you already know and helps deepen the way you know it. Yesterday, after talking about symptoms of trauma at In a Gentle Way You Can Shake Your World, I kept thinking about the phrase ‘History repeats itself’ and the way we are often willing to accept this as if that’s just the way it is. Yes, history repeats, yet one aspect of that stems from the fact that unresolved trauma drives us to repeat patterns again and again. We are not doomed and destined to stay stuck in the endless loop of same ol’, same ol’ as if that is the only possible outcome. Trauma patterns repeat because they seek full resolution. Resolve the trauma and we are freed into forward motion, positive paradigm shifts and continuing on the path of healthy collective evolution.
For those who seek ultimate fulfillment in their own life, best possibilities for their children, communities able to come together for the common good and a world that works together to creatively problem-solve the really tough issues of our time – resolving trauma is a necessity.
Tomorrow is the last day of early registration for the May 1-3 Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) Global Certification Module I in San Diego. This training is the first of several steps toward certification, and is also open to those that are not seeking certification. All are welcome to come and get a deeper understanding of chronic and traumatic stress and how to recover.
This world and all of us that are part of it desperately need to get unstuck from old patterns. We need to heal the wounds that hold us hostage. Please consider joining us.
BTW: We have decided to add a group session of TRE to OCCA’s April 19 Enjoy and Celebrate EARTH on this DAY. It will be offered to the community free of charge and take place at Inspiration Point in Corona del Mar at 6p, just before sunset. This is only one of the several separate, but inter-related events we have planned that day, filled with lots of fun, inspiration and tasty food – so watch for more info very soon 🙂

Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) Global Certification Module I Training
Trauma induced behavior cannot be rectified with the use of traditional crisis intervention techniques that depend on logical processing because trauma behavior is an illogical, instinctual response not under the control of the rational brain.

This workshop is open to the public.

9:30a – 5:00p each day

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) is an easy to learn body-centered method created by Dr. David Berceli. Successfully used in many different countries and conflict zones, it is a simple technique that helps release stress or tension from the body that accumulates from every day circumstances of life, difficult situations, immediate or prolonged stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences (e.g. natural disasters, social or domestic violence, PTSD).
Early registration (by March 31, 2015): $400.00 | Registration (April 1 – April 24, 2015): $450.00
