The Reckoning

Academy Award nominations were announced this week. One film not among the nominees – newly released “The Reckoning”.

“The Reckoning“, directed by Pamela Yates and shown at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, tells the story of ICC Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo’s efforts to bring to justice those who commit the unthinkable – war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide.

The film documents Moreno-Ocampo’s often-challenged-yet-unwavering drive to halt the suffering of the people of Colombia, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Sudan.

If future local screenings of the film arise, we will surely let all of you know.
