Sudan Shares Rice’s Regrets
In November, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice expressed “real regrets” about the way her country handled the Darfur atrocities.
This week, Sudan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ali Al-Sadig “taunted” Rice and her recent statements:
Our regret goes for the inability of a major country to assist the African Union and the United Nations to deploy troops in Darfur…Condoleezza Rice and the administration were capable of doing a lot to settle the Darfur problem but unfortunately they did not do it.
